Hi all, We would to make this very clear right from the outset.. we cannot promise to help every FD2-Owners.com member, we have some criteria to be met and also some exclusions. If we cannot help you, we can only apologise. For the majority however, we should be competitive and be able to provide an excellent level of cover. CONTACT DETAILS: The best way to contact us is via our website, you'll find all the details you need via the link below. Please follow the link and feel free to have a look around! http://www.skyinsurance.co.uk/carclubs/index.html

Hi Lee,

We are happy to offer a 20% discount to your club members.

SkyInsurance specialise in insurance for car club members. We believe that club members are generally car enthusiasts who look after their vehicles and drive in a more sensible manner, because of this, we are happy to offer discount to any members of clubs we are affiliated with.

Unlike some other insurance companies, we do care about our customers and you will receive a 'personal touch' service when you deal with us... we don't give quotes over the Internet, we always speak to our customers on the phone, we tend to base the insurance quote on the individual rather than the vehicle.

We can only insure members who are based in England, Wales or Scotland.

Thanks for having us, and thank you very much to Lee for setting this up so promptly.

I'm here to help, so please get in contact if you have any insurance questions or would like a quote.. we cannot quote via PM or email, we'd need to speak to you on the phone.

Cheers

Im with sky on my Dc5, Great company to deal with IMO.
Changed my reg,no charge. Took ages getting my details to them,no charge.

So a big thumbs up(no smiley 4 that) from me. :D

yep.. Also with Sky on the DC5.. massive savings over anyone else.. Nice one

Didn`t think much of the discount. Still 70 quid more expensive for me than a-plan. Friendly though but friendly doesn`t help my bank balance.

Really, no charge. Sky wanted to charge me £20 for ANY changes to my policy including when I wanted to move my start date 1 day, this was less than 1 hour after I set the policy up. They did waiver the fee in the end but only under much duress :(

Hi,

bad news unfortunately. We are unable to cover any FD2 which is valued at more than £15k. I appreciate that this is virtually all FD2s but we have had one of our schemes withdrawn and this leaves us high and dry.

We can continue to cover any vehicle under £15k in value and if its a Honda, especially a modified Honda we should be very competitive.

My apologies to all :(

I presume existing policies will be honored?

I'll have to remove you from the trader section for obvious reasons I'm afraid Ollie.

I'll give you a couple of weeks grace just in case your circumstances change.

Regards.

Lee :?

from my experiences with insurance if a scheme is withdrawn then existing policies will be left to expire but will not be renewed. Bit of a shame as i'm sure you could have had a majority share of the FD2 market.

Hi Lee, thanks, very kind of you.

We are desperately trying to sort something out, this situation only came to my attention in the last few days.

Hi all,

we have been talking to our insurers and the results of these talks is that we can cover any FD2 with a value UP TO £20K. Apologies to all of you with FD2s over that value we are unable to help you.

Thanks

Hi Ollie,

My insurance is due on the 13th April.

Best quote i have had is £480 from Noel Dazely.

20K cover is fine now the car is a few months old.

Do you think you could beat that price.

33yrs / 12yrs no claims / no points, no accidents.
Car has Tracker Monitor system and Cobra Cat 1 alarm/immobiliser.

Thanks
Julian

Hi Julian,

we'll certainly have a go for you, I'll drop you a PM for your details.

Thanks

Ollie

I take it the 20k limit is still in place? With all the audio gear now on board, I'll be comfortably over that on declared value. Oh well.
