I've been using Motul 5w40 fully synthetic since purchase of car at 18,000 miles 2 years ago, Its now clocked 63,000 miles.
Motul prices have gone up and stocks are drying up and possibly going to be discontinued? Not sure how true that is.
Anyway, I have bought some 5L SHELL HELIX ULTRA 5w40 fully synthetic at £30 delivered. I'm concerned that the change of brand will affect the engine in a bad way, as in not doing it any good? Or am I worrying too much?
Other notes:
My engine consumes no oil.
Oil and filter change intervals between 5000-6,000 miles
I'm not keen on flushing my engine, and never will...

It's fully synthetic and the right grade of oil for our engines and that's what matters. Also, you are changing your oil frequently, all of which helps
