How does this compair?

Sounds good, you must double check they have based this quote on an FD2 not an FN2 though, not many insurers seem to know about the FD2. I had this issue with the likes of Direct Line, Tesco etc....

This is defo for the FD2 type r. Sounds like its a resonable quote considering I have not had my own personal insurance for a while, hence leaving me with 0years NCB

If that's with zero NCB I'd be smelling a rat and checking very hard indeed, that's exceptionally cheap given the circumstances.

If it checks out then it's all gravy :-D

Its all above board, its the same insurance underwriters that I have used for the DC5(as a named driver) maybe they have taken into account NCB as a named driver as I have never had a claim and I have been driving 10years and have driving a range of performance cars . They definatly quoted as my own insurance and only me, i have the paperwork infront of me. I will be bitting there little fingers off when I get the FD2

That's quite possible then and would explain the figure, my insurers have done similar for cover on my Merc.

I'm insured with tesco and they know about the FD2, there is no need to go to specialist insurers as the main stream company's will cover you

Until you send them a small dissertation covering the modifications, at which point you generally get met with stony silence :-D

I HATE tesco's and everything they stand for, even if they were cheaper I still would not use them  They have there fat little fingers in every pie.
Tescos will rule all, bit like Taco Bell in Demolition man!

Anyway rant over  On a serious note I have had friends that have used Tesco's insurance (car, pet and home) and have had bad experiances when it came to a claim
