machine polishing - pads and polish

I want to up the ante a bit with protection and apply one of the new nano sealants. For those who are unfamiliar they bond with the lacquer and have excellent durability and protection. More importantly for me is that they are very hard and reduce the chances of getting fine scratches and swirls. Anyway before i can apply this i want the paint to look its best as any defects are locked in unless you remove and re-apply, so im going to have a go at machine polishing. I do have a rough idea what im going to use but wondered if anyone has had a go on our paint and has any recommendations regarding pad and polish choice?

All done now and wow what a difference. It looks like all the tiny swirls were almost hazing the paint a bit and it now looks much more vibrant and dare i say it, whiter. As for the ceramic sealant i used Gtechniq C1+ which im also extremely happy with. A little difficult to apply as with the car being white its difficult to judge coverage and removal but well worth the effort and that should be two years plus durability plus minor scratch resistance. Its also so shiny now and the c1.5 which you apply after makes it much harder for dirt to cling to the car meaning less cleaning! :glassesbig:
