Few questions i need answering if anyone can help.

Does anyone have a link to the technical and performance specs of the FD2?

I was thinking of getting the oil changed after 1000 miles as i did on my EP3, apparently gets any bits out from when running the engine in. Is this a myth or fact?

What is the offset of the wheels on an FD2?

I forgot in my excitement to ask if a servce book came with the car? i'm guessing not so can i buy one from my local Honda dealer?

Thanks

There's quite alot out there, check out Litchfields website which has an awful lot of information - what specific figures are you looking for?

Changing the oil after 1000 miles is what the enthusiasts have been doing for quite a while with VTEC engines although I'm not entirely certain that this practice is bound by any hard facts other than just that's what was done a long time ago, if you buy a CTR or S2k from Honda now they pretty much say that you should drive as you please and that they have investigated the benefits of running in periods and have found no suggestion that this practice has any appreciable benefit.

That said, I fully plan to change the oil pretty early on on to some Fully Synth Silkonlene Pro S from Opie :) that's a pretty expensive way of satisfying a superstition but nonetheless I feel I have to.

Dunno about offsets, are you looking to buy some new wheels? Have you checked out Unit 8s offer on the CE28N?

Service book can be bought from your dealer for £10, get one at your first service or oil change :)

HTH

Thanks for your help.

Yeah the wheels i was looking at were the White CE28N's, the offset must be close to 50 as Rays are showing the 8.5x18 fitment as FN2/FD2. :D

Expensve but nice!

I will get a service book off Honda but i'm going to let Paul at TDI do all the servicing and work on my car. 8)

There aren't many wheels you can get in the right Honda fitment IIRC, at least that's true of the S2k. The prices Unit 8 are asking are definitely not all that bad but to be honest I can't see the benefit of getting them unless you're going for full on weight reduction and I'm sure there are other places you can do that :) . The stock ones look pretty good as is but fill yer boots :D

The stock ones do look superb, in fact i couldn't believe how good the car looked in standard form! 8)

It maybe a bit overkill to get a new set of rims straight away, i might wait a bit and drive the car standard before modding anything.
