SUCCESS!! ENGINE CUT OUT - FIXED!!!!

well, almost! Got it booked in on the 28th at my local Honda.

But what a success! I wrote to Honda UK explaining my frustrations with my engine cutting out and made references to this forum and the Type R Owners Forum.

A few days later, i got a call from Honda UK, they confirmed that there are reports of the engine cutting out and there is a fix for it. My local Honda now has the details and will be flashing my ECU.

Credit to Honda UK, this forum and the Type R Owners Forum and the members who helped me get to this stage.

Great result - it would be good to know what they are actually doing. However I thought your car was a later one and didn't need the reflash ECU cal.
 
"reflash the ECU" is what the guy said. Should be in and out within the hour.

and yeah, when details first came to light about this issue, information was sketchy - its only when i started digging on the TRO forum that i found a post with more details regarding chassis numbers.
 
This information was available here as well, but it was posted back in 08 if my memory serves me well. Either way glad you this issue almost sorted.
