just wondering what the tax is like on these? will it be 400pound next year? or are the emissions simular to the fn2? cheers

Depends on which model report was used at SVA/registration time. Some cars will be band F, some band G.

Yes, because the manufacturer provides a type approval report that covers all FN2's

However, for the FD2 (et al) you have to use a model report instead; these are invariably prepared by individuals/import companies who submit a car for test by VOSA, and as such there are variances between reports. Litchfields managed to get their test car through as a band F, but I know of another report shows the car as a band G.

Therefore depending on which report is submitted when your car is SVA'd depends on the tax bracket it ends up in.

Some importers work a bit harder on emissions to get them through the SVA on a lower band than than others. I dont know whta Litchfield does to achieve this but they spend a lot of time on it :-D

edit-Dolphin got to you first as I was writing up!

Sorry for going off-topic.

So basically under the revised VED bands for 2009 those with emissions lower than 225 g/km will be in band K @ £300 VED, those that are higher will be in band L at £415
