Sky Insurance FD2 Owners *Special Promotion*

Sky kicked the arse out my APlan renewal quote this year!

Cheers chaps, I've actually paid it it full for the first time in my life :peace:

I must be getting old :shifty:

Hi all,

we have been talking to our insurers and the results of these talks is that we can cover any FD2 with a value UP TO £20K. Apologies to all of you with FD2s over that value we are unable to help you.

Thanks

Any change on the maximum 20K value for an FD2 or does it still remains the same?

This was the same only a few weeks back when I insured.

For the peeps who are insured with QBE using SKY as the broker, what is your car classed as on the paperwork? They have stated mine as a hatchback, although they insisted that they have a note on there system that its a FD2 saloon import when I asked about this?!?!?
Is this the same for eveyone else using Sky Insurance?

same as mine - mine says hatchback and I rang them and like you they reckon it has import saloon on their sys..

Hi,

the £20K rule is still in force.

If anyone needs clarification I can arrange for a letter to be sent stating that we and the underwriter are aware this 4 (5) door version. PM me your full name and postcode.

Thanks

Hi,

no it wont be because you are in the forces.

I'd need your name and postcode to find you on our system to see the reason for the no-quote.

Thanks

id just like to say sky insurance are now looking into this for me!

thanks for the fast reply

Thanks for bringing to my attention and just to clarify, this was a mistake at our end, we always look for a bit of experience on the car you are insuring or something similar, in this case the car you drive was not explained to our underwriter as a performance car, hence the no-quote originally.

Well after getting my renewal from A-plan, £565 up from £430 with no change in circumstances, tried Sky but they could only come in at £641.

Mines done through Chaucer. Seem pretty good. Had few windscreen and window claims with no probs. No ones beaten their renewal for few years
